Also, directly switch in Avalugg on a predicted Stealth Rock from setters that it can spin on and beat such as Torterra, Sandslash, Marowak, and Gabite. It is best to keep Avalugg as healthy as possible throughout the match, as it can continually check physical attackers and remove entry hazards when needed. Therefore, Avalugg will have to use Recover a considerable amount, potentially letting it be taken advantage of. Avalugg is also able to throw out a Toxic on a predicted switch-in as well as Toxic stall a majority of physical attackers. Use Roar to phaze setup sweepers such as Swords Dance Pinsir and Silvally-Fighting. It is best to avoid Toxic poison from Bronzor, as that will then put a timer on Avalugg.
