Thunder Wave threatens fast foes like Munkidori, Flamigo, and Paldean Tauros-W, aiding slower teammates such as Chandelure. Stealth Rock can be run to make Duraludon into an entry hazard setter. Alternatively, Roar works to phaze out setup sweepers like Uxie and even Fairy-types such as Scream Tail while preventing Vaporeon from receiving its Wish. Alternatively, Body Press allows Duraludon to hit Steel-types like Copperajah that can tank its STAB attacks while handling Dark-types such as Incineroar and Scrafty. The EV ensures Duraludon can OHKO Cinccino with Draco Meteor. Duraludon can opt to run 56 Speed EVs to outpace foes like bulky Sylveon and Rhyperior. Light Metal is preferred over Heavy Metal to minimize Low Kick damage from Ambipom and Decidueye. Tera Fairy gives Duraludon a better matchup against Pokemon like Flygon and Flamigo, while Tera Ghost gives it an immunity to Fighting-types and lets it simultaneously block and threaten Rapid Spin users like Tsareena and Brambleghast. Wallbreakers like Toxicroak, Basculegion-M, and Munkidori support Duraludon by breaking down bulky walls like Vaporeon, Chansey, and Wo-Chien. Offensive setup sweepers like Incineroar, Munkidori, and Uxie appreciate Duraludon's Thunder Wave allowing them to outspeed fast threats like Paldean Tauros-W, Ambipom, and Choice Scarf Flamigo. In particular, Uxie is a great partner for Duraludon, since it can freely set up Nasty Plot against walls like Bronzong and Vaporeon while checking Fighting- and Ground-types like Flamigo and Gligar. In exchange, Duraludon can deal with Electric-types like Bellibolt and Kilowattrel. Wish passers such as Vaporeon, Sylveon, and Scream Tail benefit from Duraludon checking Pokemon like Cinccino and Overqwil. In return, their Wish support allows it to repeatedly switch into foes like Munkidori, Basculegion-M, and Gligar.
