Moonblast checks the likes of Dragon Dance Dragonite, Choice Scarf Great Tusk, and Urshifu-R. Contrary Superpower nails specially bulky targets such as Blissey and Hisuian Goodra attempting to come into Enamorus. Alternatively, Psychic can be used to nail Air Balloon Pecharunt and Choice Band Sneasler. Earth Power buries Steel- and Poison-types like Excadrill and Iron Moth. Finally, Healing Wish restores threats like Flutter Mane and Primarina. Enamorus enjoys the support of physical attacking teammates such as Iron Valiant and Azumarill that handle special walls such as Blissey and Alolan Muk. Swords Dance Iron Valiant can also use Close Combat to bust up Steel- and Rock-types that prove problematic for Enamorus such as Hisuian Goodra, Empoleon, and Ogerpon-C while using Knock Off to check Hisuian Zoroark and Gholdengo. Azumarill, meanwhile, uses Aqua Jet to pick off faster foes such as Iron Boulder, Volcarona, and Sand Rush Excadrill while threatening the likes of Mamoswine and Gliscor. Choice Specs Flutter Mane handles Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Gholdengo, Spectrier, and Galarian Slowking while being able to use coverage such as Thunderbolt to help break through the likes of Assault Vest Tornadus-T and Toxapex. Hatterene's Magic Bounce ability helps to prevent Stealth Rock, which otherwise limits the amount of times Enamorus can come in, while also using Nuzzle to help slow down opposing Choice Scarf threats like Iron Boulder and Meowscarada. Hatterene is also capable of using Psyshock to break through special walls and Poison-types such as Assault Vest Iron Hands, Clodsire, and Amoonguss. Klefki can set Spikes to cut into special walls such as Hisuian Goodra and Alolan Muk while being capable of entering on Steel- and Poison-type attacks from foes like Scizor and Sneasler. Calm Mind Primarina is capable of entering on Ice-type attacks from the likes of Weavile and Steel-type attacks from Sand Rush Excadrill and Corviknight, handling them with Draining Kiss and Surf, respectively.

Enamorus is an excellent revenge killer on Flying teams due to its vast coverage, cleric support via Healing Wish, and amazing Speed, allowing it to outpace Hisuian Lilligant after a Victory Dance as well as Choice Specs Greninja, and Latios, easing the Dark and Dragon matchups. Moonblast checks foes with Ice-type coverage moves like Pawmot, Kyurem, and Greninja, as well as 2HKOing Assault Vest Iron Hands. Superpower hits Steel-types like Bisharp, Hisuian Goodra, and Air Balloon Heatran, allowing Enamorus to snowball Steel teams with Contrary once Gholdengo has been removed. Alternatively, Mystical Fire hits Air Balloon Gholdengo and Corviknight. Earth Power hits Heatran, Toxapex, and Skeledirge, further improving the Steel and Poison matchups. Corviknight checks a plethora of foes, including Flutter Mane and Choice Scarf Greninja, as well as providing Defog support to preserve Enamorus's longevity so it can fight off Sucker Punch Bisharp. Landorus-T and Landorus offer an Electric-type immunity, checking threats like Regieleki, Sandy Shocks, and Magnezone. Furthermore, Bulk Up Landorus-T is a massive asset in the Poison and Steel matchups, notably setting up on Amoonguss and forcing Heatran out. Dragonite is fearsome in the Water and Flying mirror matchups and heavily appreciates Healing Wish support in return. In return, Enamorus removes Choice Specs Greninja to let Zapdos effectively wall most Water teams. Galarian Moltres is great in the Ghost matchup, taking on Gholdengo, Skeledirge, and Spectrier.

Enamorus leverages its great mixed offensive coverage to punish its common answers such as Hisuian Goodra, as Contrary boosts its physical stats when using Superpower, making it able to withstand a Heavy Slam from Hisuian Goodra, and potentially its Speed if Hisuian Goodra runs Gooey. Aside from KOing Hisuian Goodra, Superpower hits Air Balloon Heatran and Blissey, allowing Enamorus to make significant progress in the battle. Earth Power threatens Poison-types like non-Choice Band Sneasler and Toxapex and notably OHKOes non-Air Balloon Heatran and non-Choice Scarf Archaludon after chip damage. Mystical Fire allows it to deal a good chunk of damage to the likes of Skarmory and Corviknight, which could switch in otherwise, thus substantially improving the Steel matchup. Alternatively, Healing Wish can give a setup teammate like Primarina a second chance to sweep. Expert Belt is recommended to take full advantage of Enamorus's nice coverage options, but Heavy-Duty Boots remains a solid option if the team lacks ways to deal with Stealth Rock. Given its relative frailness and decent Speed tier, Enamorus appreciates dual screen setters such as Klefki. Other than setting dual screens, Klefki is an invaluable partner to Enamorus, granting a Poison immunity to the team as well as being a decent check to Scizor. It can also use paralysis to mitigate the Speed issue against Choice Scarf users and naturally faster Pokemon like Archaludon, Dragapult, and Latios, and it can set up Spikes, enhancing the sweeping potential of Enamorus. In the same vein, Hatterene can cripple foes such as Ogerpon-H with Nuzzle and prevents Stealth Rock from being set up on Enamorus's side while more effectively dealing with foes such as Galarian Weezing and Clodsire, which Enamorus struggles against. Offensively, Enamorus is best paired with sweepers like Choice Specs Flutter Mane, Choice Scarf Iron Valiant, and Azumarill that can create holes in the opposing team for Enamorus. Flutter Mane easily disposes of Gholdengo and can pressure Flying and Ghost teams with its incredible raw power. Choice Scarf Iron Valiant can outspeed most Choice Scarf users like Landorus and Latias, as well as Choice Specs Dragapult, which would be a serious threat otherwise. Lastly, Azumarill is a fearsome sweeper, destroying most defensive cores after using Belly Drum to let Enamorus finish the job.

In return, Enamorus can provide Healing Wish support for Mega Scizor if it has been statused by its checks like Zapdos and Moltres. Enamorus lacks the immediate power to pose a threat to common defensive cores with Pokemon such as Toxapex, Gliscor, and Ferrothorn; thus, it values strong wallbreakers like Mega Medicham and Kyurem to pressure these cores. Enamorus is also weak to Stealth Rock, so it appreciates partners like Great Tusk and Terapagos that can remove the hazard. In return, Enamorus's Healing Wish can help Great Tusk recover from status, and it can restore Terapagos's Tera Shell. Enamorus can also support Terapagos in overwhelming shared checks like Heatran and Toxapex. Allies like Zamazenta, Great Tusk, and Ogerpon-W greatly appreciate Enamorus's ability to heal them in a pinch if needed. In return, Zamazenta and Ogerpon-W can pressure checks like Heatran and Melmetal.

With Choice Scarf, its high Special Attack, and the utility of Healing Wish, Enamorus is an effective form of speed control that can also sweep or facilitate another partner's sweep late-game. Earth Power targets Steel-types like Excadrill and Aegislash, Fire-types like Victini and Iron Moth, and it's also Enamorus's strongest attack against Mega Venusaur. Mystical Fire hits specific Steel-types that don't mind Earth Power, namely Skarmory, Scizor, and Celesteela; its Special Attack-lowering effect also provides some utility against Autotomize variants of the latter. Alternatively, Grass Knot can 2HKO Ground-types like Hippowdon and Gastrodon. Finally, Focus Blast serves as a middle ground option against Steel-types like Excadrill and Skarmory while also OHKOing Tyranitar, though its shaky accuracy combined with Enamorus's frailty makes it risky to use. Enamorus best fits on offense teams looking for a form of speed control that can revenge kill fast threats such as Thundurus. Due to its weakness to Stealth Rock, entry hazard removers such as Excadrill and Rotom-W are essential teammates. Due to Enamorus's low bulk, pivots such as Thundurus can help it safely get onto the field. Enamorus also appreciates the defensive backbone provided by bulky partners such as Amoonguss, Tangrowth, and Skamory; Pokemon that resist Steel like the latter are important as checks to Scizor and Sand Rush Excadrill. Enamorus lacks the power to OHKO certain foes like Victini and Thundurus from full health, while they can often cripple or OHKO it back, making hazard setters like Excadrill and Mew good partners as they can chip these foes into KO range. Enamorus struggles to get past certain Poison-types like Mega Venusaur, making checks to them like Mega Latias useful. Enamorus also has no way of getting past Blissey and Chansey, making physical wallbreakers such as Buzzwole necessary teammates. Healing Wish is best used to either give a sweeper like Dragon Dance Tyranitar or Celesteela a second opportunity to sweep, or a bulky wallbreaker like Scizor the health needed to continue breaking holes into the opposing team.

Choice Specs allows Enamorus to be more immediately fearsome against bulky teams, now threatening 2HKOs on most Fairy-resistant foes without the need for a turn of setup. In addition to Earth Power and Mystical Fire, Superpower allows it to threaten a 3HKO on Chansey. This also allows Enamorus to potentially snowball through weakened teams once faster foes like Alakazam have been removed. Alternatively, Psychic hits Poison-types that aren't weak to Earth Power, such as Mega Venusaur and Amoonguss. In addition to Pursuit trappers like Tyranitar, speed control from the likes of Choice Scarf Victini, and slow pivots like Slowbro, Choice Specs Enamorus functions as an excellent partner to special sweepers such as Iron Moth, Keldeo, and Blacephalon due to its ability to remove checks to it without competing for the same team slot. These options can also be used to remove Steel- and Poison-types to allow Enamorus to use its powerful Moonblast more freely. As Enamorus is weak to Stealth Rock, it appreciates being partnered with strong entry hazard removal options, such as Rapid Spin Excadrill and Rotom-W, which allow it to more easily work around opposing entry hazard setters such as Hippowdon and suicide leads like Excadrill. Due to its Choice Specs, however, Enamorus becomes prediction-reliant against teams that stack multiple Fairy-resistant foes, so Stealth Rock and Knock Off support from Clefable, Tyranitar, and Scizor allows it to more effectively break down its checks over the course of a game.

Stallbreaker Enamorus uses its distinctive offensive profile to be a proficient stallbreaker, capable of wearing down stall structures consisting of Chansey, Skarmory, Flygon, and Clefable as well as taking advantage of other defensive staples, such as Hydrapple, Rotom-W, and Buzzwole. Moonblast alongside Fairium Z grants Enamorus the burst damage to break through Clefable as well as OHKO Pokemon like Rotom-W and Mega Aerodactyl expecting to survive an unboosted Moonblast. Superpower alongside Contrary allows Enamorus to snowball incredibly effectively against slower teams, as it can survive Jirachi's Iron Head at +1, which is often the best switch in against Enamorus on stall teams. It also slams Chansey and lets Enamorus break through Skarmory more easily. Taunt is essential to block recovery and utility moves from defensive Pokemon that Enamorus cannot easily 2HKO like Mega Venusaur and Celesteela. While Fairium Z is generally recommended to give Enamorus the ability to break through Clefable more easily, Leftovers is an option on teams already utilizing the Z-Move elsewhere to grant Enamorus extended longevity, especially against teams where the main mode of damaging it is Chansey and Blissey's Seismic Toss. It also ensures Enamorus remains healthy against bulkier sand teams. Heavy-Duty Boots is an option on teams lacking entry hazard removal but requires more precise play with Enamorus to break through stall teams. A Naive nature ensures Enamorus can take advantage of the Defense boost from Superpower more effectively, and it doesn't significantly worsen matchups against revenge killers like Iron Moth and Thundurus. Stallbreaker Enamorus is only seen on offensive teams looking for a threat capable of wearing down defensive structures efficiently. While Enamorus can remove most Pokemon on stall teams, compositions utilizing Mega Venusaur or Amoonguss can make it difficult for Enamorus to easily break through. Teammates like Aegislash, Scizor, and Serperior can help Enamorus wear these two down, handle them defensively, or lure them in and cripple them with status. Enamorus also appreciates their defensive profile, as they are capable of switching into faster threats such as Iron Boulder and Alakazam that force Enamorus out. Enamorus also struggles against more offensive teams due to its middling Speed, lack of consistent wallbreaking power, lack of opportunities to switch in, and reliance on prediction to catch foes on the switch in. Teammates like Mega Latias, Excadrill, and Tyranitar can temporarily check threats like Iron Moth and Zeraora on offensive teams, as well as provide hazard support to help Enamorus wear down Celesteela and Mega Venusaur. Magnezone is a notable teammate, able to trap and remove Celesteela, Scizor, and Jirachi, which give Enamorus trouble. Enamorus is also weak to Stealth Rock, so teammates like Rotom-W and Excadrill can help mitigate this weakness while also taking advantage of holes left in the opposing team left by Enamorus.

It also allows Enamorus to work around other Fairy-resistant foes such as Skeledirge and Iron Moth as well as offensive checks in Hisuian Arcanine and Victini, while its Speed tier allows it to outspeed and OHKO Mienshao. Taunt is an option to potentially beat and deny recovery from status users like Clefable, Hippowdon, and Chansey that try to slow down or stall Enamorus. Similarly, Iron Moth enjoys many of its checks being removed, particularly Tyranitar and Latias. However, Enamorus's frailty and lack of immediate power makes it difficult for it to break past checks such as Mega Venusaur and Celesteela, which threaten to OHKO it with Sludge Bomb and Heavy Slam, respectively, and aren't OHKOed after a Calm Mind boost. Similarly, Chansey can use Toxic and Seismic Toss to take advantage of Enamorus's lack of longevity. This means it appreciates partners such as Tyranitar and Bisharp, which are capable of Pursuit trapping special walls like Chansey, as well as Victini, which can break past Celesteela as well as provide pivoting to bring Enamorus in safely. Its Speed tier also means it is pressured by faster threats such as Iron Moth and Keldeo. This means it enjoys speed control from partners such as Alakazam and Choice Scarf Hydreigon, which are able to outspeed its offensive checks. To compensate for its relative frailty, it also enjoys slow pivots to bring it in safely, such as Slowbro, Slowking, and Scizor, and in return it provides an offensive check to the Dark-types they are threatened by, such as Tyranitar, Bisharp, and Hydreigon.

Enamorus provides great speed control for Flying teams, outspeeding and threatening a myriad of common threats such as Mega Altaria, boosted Kommo-o, Mega Lopunny, Hisuian Lilligant, and Choice Specs Greninja. Earth Power pairs well with Moonblast, hitting Poison-, Steel-, and Fire-types that resist Moonblast like Toxapex, Heatran, and Cinderace. On the other hand, Mystical Fire targets the likes of Ferrothorn, Skarmory, and Corviknight; however, Earth Power is preferred due to the greater number of targets it hits. Superpower not only hits threats like Empoleon and Ogerpon-C, but it can also help Enamorus snowball through Normal and Rock teams thanks to Contrary boosting. Healing Wish allows Enamorus to cure status and grant longevity to a weakened teammate. Gliscor and Landorus both provide entry hazard support and Electric immunity, and Landorus also wallbreaks to enable a sweep from Enamorus. Corviknight and Mantine remove Stealth Rock for Enamorus with Defog, and they can switch into Sneasler and Mega Swampert, respectively. Mega Charizard Y and Tornadus-T both handle bulky threats like Mega Venusaur and Swampert. In return, Enamorus provides Healing Wish support. Mega Aerodactyl forms a great revenge killing core with Enamorus, handling Pokemon like Tornadus-T and Galarian Slowking for Enamorus while also appreciating Enamorus removing Choice Scarf Nihilego.
