Analisi

Fletchinder's most precious tool is Defog, a very rare move in the tier. With its good Speed and defensive typing, Fletchinder is the best Defogger of the tier, as it has a good matchup against entry hazards setters like Quilladin and Piloswine while checking a lot of physical attackers such as Pignite, the aforementioned Piloswine, Scraggy, Thwackey, Raboot, and Monferno. Brave Bird hits Fighting- and Grass-types, while Roost gives Fletchinder more longevity. U-turn can be used to pivot on Pokemon that come in for free on Fletchinder such as Hisuian Sliggoo and Seadra, thus giving you the momentum. Taunt is an option to help deal with defensive walls such as Tinkatuff and Dunsparce. Will-O-Wisp hinders physical attackers such as Krokorok and Piloswine. With its ability Flame Body, Fletchinder punishes Pokemon that spam U-turn such as the aforementioned Thwackey and Raboot. The given EV spread with a Jolly nature takes advantage of Fletchinder's good Speed, letting it outspeed offensive threats such as Monferno and Servine while being bulky enough to check a plethora of Pokemon. Fletchinder fits best on balance teams looking for a good way to deal with entry hazards. Seadra is the most common defensive teammate to Fletchinder, as Fletchinder's hazard removal lets your team drop Quaxwell for Seadra, which is bulkier, faster, and more powerful. Seadra helps deal with Pokemon that have access to Knock Off such as Pignite and Monferno, so Fletchinder can keep its much-needed Heavy-Duty Boots. Furthermore, Seadra's Ice resistance helps prevent Choice Band Piloswine from spamming Icicle Crash, while Fletchinder's Ground immunity stops it from spamming Earthquake. These two Pokemon also punish physical attackers thanks to Poison Point and Flame Body, and they can also form a solid VoltTurn defensive core with Flip Turn and U-turn. Hisuian Sliggoo is an excellent offensive partner to Fletchinder, as it is able to check Water-, Rock-, and Electric-types, which all take advantage of Fletchinder's passivity, while checking specially offensive Pokemon that threaten Fletchinder like Drakloak and Frogadier. However, other special walls such as Tinkatuff and Dunsparce are also good options, as they appreciate Fletchinder's ability to check common physical threats such as Pignite and Piloswine, while Fletchinder appreciates their ability to check common special threats such as Girafarig, Drakloak, and Frogadier. Offensive Pokemon that can't afford to hold Heavy-Duty Boots such as Choice Specs Drakloak, Monferno, and Piloswine appreciate Fletchinder's ability to remove hazards. Koffing can serve as a Knock Off absorber for Fletchinder, allowing it to keep its Heavy-Duty Boots, and Fletchinder can check Ground-types that usually take advantage of Koffing such as Krokorok and Piloswine. Glimmet being able to come in on Fletchinder and set hazards up can quickly become overwhelming for your team, so Pokemon that take advantage of it like Hisuian Sliggoo, Girafarig, and Krokorok pair well with Fletchinder. Wallbreakers like Gabite, Choice Specs Girafarig, and Choice Band Piloswine that have a hard time coming on the field appreciate Fletchinder's ability to pivot with U-turn.

Analisi

Swords Dance, high Speed, and the Fire / Flying typing allow Fletchinder to serve as a wallbreaker or late-game cleaner that is only outsped by a few Pokemon, including Drakloak, Frogadier, and Girafarig. Brave Bird and Flare Blitz are the two most prominent STAB moves that can hit many Pokémon in the metagame super effectively, including the Grass-types Ivysaur, Thwackey, Quilladin, and Servine, the Fighting-types Monferno, Pignite, and Scraggy, and even the ever-present Tinkatuff. Because these two moves have recoil damage, Roost is an excellent option for longevity. Even though Roost increases Fletchinder's longevity, it is important to note that Fletchinder is quite frail because it runs Heavy-Duty Boots over Eviolite due to its significant weakness to Stealth Rock. Taunt is another excellent option to break through fatter teams, stopping recovery options from the likes of Quaxwell and Dusclops, and completely shut down Tinkatuff. Due to its frailty and dependence on keeping Heavy-Duty Boots, Fletchinder pairs well with a defensive backbone capable of switching into Knock Off, which includes Pokemon like Tinkatuff, Krokorok, and Koffing. Fletchinder also appreciates teammates like Tinkatuff, Monferno, and Thwackey, among others, that can remove Eviolite from opposing Pokemon, paving the way for a Fletchinder sweep. In the case Heavy-Duty Boots are removed from Fletchinder, Pokemon capable of removing Stealth Rock like Quaxwell or deterring them from being set up like Hattrem are highly appreciated. As stated before, Drakloak, Frogadier, and Girafarig outspeed Fletchinder in normal conditions, and Dunsparce, Quaxwell, and Tinkatuff are capable of switching into them. Water-types like Quaxwell and Seadra and Rock-types like Glimmet and Naclstack are the most prominent Fletchinder checks, which means that Grass-types, including Thwackey, Ivysaur, and Servine, that can switch into them and pressure them pair well with Fletchinder. Hisuian Sliggoo also pairs well with Fletchinder, as it pressures both Water- and Rock-types while checking faster special attackers in Drakloak, Frogadier, and Girafarig. However, Fletchinder can pressure these Water-types if they have been previously crippled by other wallbreakers like Pignite, Krokorok, Gabite, and Monferno. Dunsparce also annoyingly checks Fletchinder due to its bulk and ability to spread paralysis with Body Slam. Fighting-types that can threaten Dunsparce and can spam Knock Off such as Scraggy, Pignite, and Monferno are great parterns as a result.
