Analisi

Set Details Flamigo easily forces out Steel-, Fighting-, Grass-, and Dark-types like Copperajah, Paldean Tauros-W, Amoonguss, and Incineroar, which grants it free turns to use Roost, allowing it to maintain longevity and use Brave Bird more often. Throat Chop can be run so that Flamigo can better threaten Bronzong as well as users of sound moves like Sylveon, Scream Tail, and Meloetta. Choice Scarf allows Flamigo to outspeed normally faster Pokemon like Inteleon and Cinccino. Alternatively, Flamigo can run Choice Band, making it a very strong wallbreaker that can overwhelm defensive tanks like Galarian Slowbro, Bellibolt, and Gligar. Tera Fighting gives Close Combat a bit of a push, letting Flamigo pressure foes like Swampert and Vaporeon. Tera Flying, on the other hand, gives Brave Bird an extra power boost, allowing it to 2HKO foes like Overqwil and OHKO Sylveon, Tornadus, or Munkidori with scarf. Tera Electric, however, offers a paralysis immunity, helping its matchup into Prankster Thunder Wave Klefki and Static Bellibolt. Plus, it provides an Electric and Flying resistance for Choice Band sets to pick up a surprise KO on foes like Raikou, Tornadus, and opposing Flamigo. Choice Band Flamigo pairs greatly with other pivots like Flygon, Munkidori, Incineroar, and Raikou, as they can draw in Amoonguss, Copperajah, opposing Incineroar, and Goodra for it while putting pressure on many of its checks like Scream Tail, Overqwil, Vaporeon, and Gligar. Psychic-types like Munkidori, Uxie, and Meloetta appreciate Flamigo for checking Steel- and Dark-types like Duraludon, Copperajah, Incineroar, and Scrafty; in return, they handle Poison-types like Galarian Slowbro, Munkidori, and Tera Poison Vaporeon. Flamigo appreciates Steel-type teammates like Copperajah, Bronzong, and Klefki for checking Fairy-types such as Sylveon and Scream Tail. The aforementioned Steel-types also help Flamigo handle faster Choice Scarf users like Flygon and Munkidori, since they can easily revenge kill them. Choice Scarf Flamigo synergizes greatly with special wallbreakers like Nasty Plot Munkidori, Throat Spray Dudunsparce, Calm Mind or Choice Specs Chandelure, and Choice Specs Inteleon, since they can handle common physically defensive Pokemon like Swampert, Bellibolt, Avalugg, and Gligar. In return, Flamigo can threaten common specially defensive foes like Meloetta, Incineroar, and Goodra.

Analisi

Swords Dance Flamigo aims to capitalize on passive foes such as Wo-Chien and Swampert to set up and then throw off boosted attacks to break through the opposing team. On balanced teams, Flamigo uses Roost so that it can repeatedly come in regardless of Stealth Rock being up and take advantage of the aforementioned walls, not worrying about their Leech Seed and Knock Off. In contrast, Flamigo runs Agility on hyper offense teams so that it can run through faster teams, outspeeding even Choice Scarf users such as Flygon, Munkidori, and Paldean Tauros-W . Not running an item allows Flamigo to use the drawback-free Acrobatics over the health-wasting Brave Bird, whereas Sitrus Berry eases setup for Flamigo on hyper offense builds while allowing it to still use Acrobatics later. The second EV spread is for Flamigo on hyper offensive teams, as it maximizes its Attack and, after an Agility, allows it to outspeed Speed Booster Energy Scream Tail. Tera Steel lets Flamigo take a hit from Munkidori, Choice Scarf Flamigo, and Sylveon in a pinch so that it can retaliate with an Acrobatics or, in Sylveon's case, capitalize on them better. Alternatively, Tera Electric and Ground give Flamigo an immunity to Klefki's Thunder Wave. However, for a paralysis immunity, Tera Electric is better, as Bellibolt's Static can circumvent Tera Ground. Additionally, Tera Electric lets Flamigo use Kilowattrel as setup fodder and allows it to take a Brave Bird from opposing Flamigo in a pinch. Tera Ground offers a full immunity to Electric-type moves from Kilowattrel and Bellibolt, though, meaning Flamigo won't be getting constantly chipped like it would be with Tera Electric. Flamigo's biggest enemy is Bellibolt, and because of this, it appreciates any way to wear it down, whether that be through entry hazard stacking with aid from setters such as Spikes Klefki, Duraludon, and Swampert as well as Stealth Rock Flygon, in tandem with Knock Off users like Incineroar and Cinccino, or by checking it with Ground-types like Gligar, Flygon, and Swampert. Pivots like Munkidori, Cinccino, Basculegion-M, and Flygon pair well with Roost Flamigo, bringing in Steel- and Grass-type foes like Copperajah, Wo-Chien, and Amoonguss, which it can take advantage of. Flamigo's middling Speed leads it to rely on partners like Rhyperior, Bronzong, and Bellibolt on balance teams so that it can better position itself around common offensive threats like Kilowattrel, Munkidori, and Tornadus. Double Dance Flamigo sets love dual screens Klefki as well as Aurora Veil Alolan Ninetales, since they help lessen the burden on Flamigo's bulk to survive turns as it sets up. On these dual screens teams, partners often are fellow setup sweepers such as Flygon, Munkidori, Scream Tail, and Cinccino. Flygon and Munkidori can capitalize on Bellibolt and Galarian Slowbro, which Flamigo often falls against; Flygon, Ambipom, and Cinccino can work in tandem with Flamigo to chip away at walls like Gligar, Swampert, and Duraludon; and Dudunsparce and Scream Tail can nail physically defensive Pokemon such as Gligar and Bellibolt for Flamigo while it takes care of special walls like Gastrodon and Copperajah for them.
