Analisi
With a high Special Attack and Mega Launcher, Clawitzer makes for a devastating wallbreaker in ZU. Water Pulse has as much power as Surf when boosted by Mega Launcher, with the added benefit of potentially confusing the foe. Dragon Pulse serves as a powerful neutral attack that hits opposing Clawitzer and Venusaur while also destroying Alolan Exeggutor. Aura Sphere hits Cryogonal, Brute Bonnet, and Arboliva hard, which would otherwise be able to switch into Clawitzer's attacks. Clawitzer's last moveslot is rather flexible; Dark Pulse hits Psychic- and Ghost-types like Mesprit and Froslass super effectively, and Sludge Bomb hits most Grass-types super effectively, notably OHKOing Whimsicott. U-turn forfeits coverage in exchange for pivoting on the switches Clawitzer often forces. Tera Dragon flips Clawitzer's Grass and Electric weaknesses while also boosting Dragon Pulse to terrifying levels, most notably 2HKOing Venusaur. Clawitzer's incredible wallbreaking prowess makes it great on balanced and bulky offense teams. Pivots such as Mesprit, Whimsicott, and Magneton can provide Clawitzer entry on passive walls, such as Orthworm, Weezing, and Sandslash. Clawitzer struggles against opposing Grass- and Electric-types, such as Whimsicott, Magneton, and Jolteon; as such, it appreciates teammates that it can fall back on against these threats. Weezing, Venusaur, and Muk deal with Grass-types, while Sandslash, Camerupt, and Whishcash can handle Electric-types. Fire-types like Charizard and Pyroar in particular make for good teammates, as they can deal with Grass-types for Clawitzer; in return, while it can wear down or remove their checks, such as Naclstack and Regirock. Walls like Regirock, Sandslash and Orthworm can help Clawitzer against faster attackers while providing further utillity such as entry hazards. Special setup sweepers such as Calm Mind Jolteon and Nasty Plot Mesprit appreciate Clawitzer weakening or removing opposing special walls, allowing them to easily clean up the battered teams it leaves behind.
