Analyse

Hisuian Electrode is an effective pivot in PU thanks to its incredible Speed stat that lets it outspeed the entire unboosted tier, great STAB combination, and useful utility options. It is so fast that it is not reliant on Choice Scarf, allowing Hisuian Electrode to find a niche over its most direct competitor, Rotom-Mow. Leaf Storm is generally preferred as its Grass-type STAB move, allowing Hisuian Electrode to OHKO specially defensive Palossand and Mudsdale after slight chip damage, though Giga Drain can be opted for instead, sacrificing power for the lack of Special Attack drop and marginal amounts of recovery. Hisuian Taunt is most common in the fourth moveslot to prevent setup attempts from Pokemon like Florges and Scrafty as well as preventing entry hazards from being set up from the likes of Alolan Sandslash and Uxie. Foul Play is another option that OHKOes Hoopa in addition to picking off weakened boosting sweepers like post-Tera Rhydon and chipping Assault Vest Galarian Slowbro, but its usefulness is low otherwise. Tera Ghost is a valuable Tera type utility-wise, allowing Hisuian Electrode to emergency check Normal- and Fighting-type attacks such as Ambipom's Fake Out and Pawmot's Mach Punch. Tera Steel guards Hisuian Electrode from being revenge killed by Choice Scarf Bruxish, though it doesn't offer much else utility. Soundproof lets Hisuian Electrode wall Galvantula and block Psychic Noise from threats like Florges and Hoopa, but this is typically far less useful than Aftermath's consistent chip damage against physical attackers. Hisuian Electrode finds itself primarily on balance teams looking for a strong form of natural speed control. Hisuian Electrode's ability to directly threaten Pokemon like Mudsdale, Milotic, and Bombirdier and use them as pivoting potential enables partners like Paldean Tauros-F, Arcanine, and Rhydon to set up and break through teams. In return, these three can deal with Pokemon Hisuian Electrode can't handle on its own, like Alolan Sandslash and Galarian Slowbro. Other offensive pivots like Galarian Articuno, Bruxish, and Ambipom can create a fast and strong VoltTurn core with Hisuian Electrode that can be difficult to stop. Even with Tera Fire, Hisuian Electrode can often struggle to break through Grass- and Steel-types like Venusaur, Wo-Chien, and Magneton; counters to these threats like Goodra, Pawmot, and Paldean Tauros-F thus make great partners.
