Análisis

Moves Ice Beam is Simipour's best coverage move to nail Grass- and Dragon-types such as Bellossom and Altaria. Grass Knot gives Simipour an option to hit its fellow Water-types such as Jellicent and Gastrodon for a large amount of damage. Set Details Waterium Z lets Simipour use Hydro Vortex, which can dent specially defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Articuno, and Eelektross at +2 while not having Hydro Pump's shaky accuracy. Usage Tips Simipour can potentially wallbreak early- to mid-game to soften up its potential checks for itself and its team. Afterwards, if Simipour is still around and faster Pokemon have been removed from the battle, it can set up and sweep late-game. Because of its poor bulk, try to get Simipour into battle either with the help of a slow pivot such as Lanturn or Eelektross or after one of its teammates has been knocked out, as both of these options are safe and don't require Simipour to take a hit. Before setting up, make sure that any Pokemon that can potentially outspeed and revenge kill Simipour is properly taken care of. Simipour can safely set up with Nasty Plot by threatening out a slower, more passive Pokemon such as Regirock or Gastrodon with its powerful moves. Try to conserve Simipour's Z-Move for its intended target, ideally a specially defensive Pokemon such as Clefairy, Eelektross, or Assault Vest Hitmonchan. Hydro Vortex can also threaten Skuntank and Rotom-F in one-on-one situations where it cannot set up. Team Options Simipour loves the support of pivots. Fast ones such as Primeape, Scyther, and Swanna can threaten out foes such as Skuntank and Alolan Raichu for Simipour thanks to their power, while slow ones like Eelektross, Type: Null, and Lanturn can take a hit for Simipour and safely bring it into battle. Simipour can also dent Pokemon like Gastrodon and Regirock for these teammates as well. Alolan Persian can also be beneficial, as Parting Shot gives Simipour better opportunities to set up and sweep, and it can check fast offensive threats such as Dodrio and Alolan Raichu for Simipour. Whether it's from Knock Off users such as Eelektross, Shiftry, and Gurdurr to threaten Choice Scarf users, or Thunder Wave support from Clefairy, Simipour appreciates the speed control these Pokemon provide. Clefairy can also provide Stealth Rock to make Simipour's sweep easier. Knock Off users also help Simipour's sweep by removing items from bulkier Pokemon such as Type: Null, Eelektross, and Hitmonchan. Physical wallbreakers such as Stoutland and Kangaskhan can help Simipour break specially defensive Pokemon or even KO them like Type: Null, Eelektross, and Clefairy. In return, Simipour can help these Pokemon by getting rid of physically defensive Pokemon such as Regirock, Aggron, and Mudsdale. Entry hazard setters such as Regirock and Mudsdale make Simipour's time sweeping much easier. Simipour also appreciates partners such as Skuntank, Dodrio, and Oricorio-G that can help keep Grass-type Pokemon in check.
