Análisis

Moves Solar Beam is Bellsprout's main STAB move, dishing out devastating neutral hits due to its 120 Base Power. Sludge Bomb hits Spritzee and Snover on the switch and can KO checks such as Ponyta and Vullaby when used with Poisonium Z. Weather Ball allows Bellsprout to hit the Steel-types that wall it otherwise, and Sleep Powder lets Bellsprout beat a lot of its checks. Growth can be used over Sleep Powder to make Bellsprout extremely powerful. Set Details 196 Special Attack EVs and a Modest nature maximize Bellsprout's offensive power. 196 Speed EVs allow Bellsprout to outspeed 17 Speed Choice Scarf users, but a Timid nature can be used to outspeed 18 Speed Choice Scarf users such as Gastly and Doduo that otherwise check Bellsprout, as well as common Shell Smash users such as Omanyte and Shellder. For item choices, Poisonium Z gives Bellsprout a one-use move that can eliminate a check such as Ponyta or Vullaby, Eviolite makes Bellsprout bulky enough to switch in on a resisted attack, and Life Orb can be used to make Bellsprout stronger at the cost of longevity and bulk. Chlorophyll is a must, doubling Bellsprout's Speed in the sun. All remaining EVs are placed into bulk. Usage Tips Bellsprout is very frail and should be pivoted in when using a Life Orb or Poisonium Z set. Eviolite makes Bellsprout bulky enough to switch in on a resisted attack. Sleep Powder should be used on foes that Bellsprout cannot usually beat. Growth should be used on predicted switches and sleeping foes. Solar Beam should be used with caution against opposing weather teams to avoid locking Bellsprout into a two-turn move. Team Options Z-Sunny Day Ponyta can set up sun and reliably beat Focus Sash Abra after its Speed boost, and it can also beat Steel-types. Focus Sash Diglett can beat Focus Sash Abra, Ponyta, and Steel-types and if it runs Reversal, Munchlax. Mareanie, Chinchou, and Mudbray handle Fire-types, something that sun teams need to be able to do, making them great offensive partners as well. Chinchou's Electric-type moves also allow it to handle Vullaby for non-Poisonium Z Bellsprout. Knock Off users such as Pawniard, Mienfoo, and Timburr also make for good teammates thanks to their ability to knock off Eviolites and make it easier for Bellsprout to break walls. Mienfoo and Timburr also beat Munchlax with Drain Punch.
