Ogerpon-H is an incredibly potent stallbreaker and sweeper in Ubers UU due to Mold Breaker and Swords Dance. Trailblaze allows Ogerpon-H to boost its Speed past that of usually faster Pokemon, such as Deoxys, Dragapult, Zacian, Choice Scarf Chi-Yu, and Choice Scarf Landorus. Power Whip and Horn Leech can be run as stronger Grass-type moves to hit Palafin and Great Tusk for super effective damage. Ivy Cudgel gives Ogerpon-H a strong, non-contact Fire-type STAB move to hit Magearna and Skarmory with while avoiding Rocky Helmet chip damage. Play Rough is for Dragon-types like Giratina and Reshiram that resist its STAB moves, whereas Knock Off is for general utility and hits Mewtwo and Lugia. Terastallizing Ogerpon-H gives it an Attack boost, letting it grab OHKOs on bulky neutral Pokemon like Zacian and Dialga without a Swords Dance boost. Ogerpon-H is best dealt with using offensive counterplay that takes advantage of its poor bulk, as Pokemon like Deoxys, Zacian, Choice Scarf Landorus, Chi-Yu, and Palafin can outrun and KO it. Defensively, almost nothing can take Ogerpon-H on, as Mold Breaker ignores Unaware, so only the likes of Moltres can safely handle it. Entry hazards are also a huge problem for Ogerpon-H, as it cannot hold Heavy-Duty Boots, meaning it will take significant chip damage when hitting the battlefield. Ogerpon-H especially appreciates support from Corviknight, which can help Ogerpon-H safely hit the field and remove hazards. Ogerpon-H also forms strong offensive cores with priority users like Rillaboom, Palafin, and Arceus formes due to them being able to eliminate the few faster threats in the metagame. Ogerpon-H also pairs uniquely well with Sticky Web Galvantula, as the foes' Speed drops let it move before everything in the unboosted metagame besides priority users, making it much more threatening.

Ogerpon-H is a fearsome wallbreaker and late-game cleaner in Ubers UU. Power Whip is a strong STAB option, hitting important damage thresholds on Great Tusk, Toxapex, and Arceus formes, but Horn Leech's healing effect can offset chip damage from entry hazards, making it a solid alternative. Play Rough hits Dragon-types like Giratina and Palkia-O hard. Trailblaze boosting Ogerpon-H's Speed allows it to outpace most of the metagame, notably Zacian, Mewtwo, Deoxys, and Arceus formes. Tera Fire boosts Ogerpon-H's damage meteorically, allowing it to OHKO Pokemon like Zacian, Landorus, and Palkia-O. Ogerpon-H can have issues breaking through Pokemon like bulky Arceus formes and Giratina without Terastalizing, as they can shrug off its coverage moves, so Pokemon that can break through these threats like Palkia-O, Zacian, and Ice Beam Mewtwo are excellent partners. Ogerpon-H's wallbreaking prowess makes it an excellent partner to late-game cleaners like Zacian, Chi-Yu, and Kyurem-W, which appreciate it beating Pokemon like Dondozo, Solgaleo, and Magearna that could otherwise stop their sweep. Ogerpon-H's also cannot hold Heavy-Duty Boots, as it is locked into using Hearthflame Mask, so hazard control from Great Tusk and Giratina is appreciated.

Horn Leech trades Wood Hammer's power for greater longevity. Follow Me is by far the best third move on this Pokemon, but if the team does not require a redirector, Ogerpon-H can use Grassy Glide; if this is the case, it is almost always paired with Rillaboom to ensure Grassy Glide is a priority move. Alternatively, Stomping Tantrum allows it to hit opposing Fire-types such as Entei and Chi-Yu. The Speed EVs allow Ogerpon-H to outspeed Modest Landorus and Adamant Urshifu-R. The Attack EVs with the Adamant nature allow it to OHKO Flutter Mane after Terastallization even when Ogerpon-H is Intimidated. The bulk investment allows Ogerpon-H to live most Choice Scarf Urshifu-R's Tera Water Surging Strikes while having a favorable roll to survive Timid Landorus's Sludge Bomb.

Ogerpon-H is a spectacular Pokemon in Regulation G thanks to Follow Me combined with its offensive presence. Its STAB combination allows it to threaten many metagame staples, such as Rillaboom, Amoonguss, Calyrex-I, and Urshifu-R, for massive damage. Ogerpon-H prefers to use Wood Hammer to ensure OHKOs on Urshifu-R and bulky Kyogre; however, Horn Leech is used alongside the defensive sets for more survivability while still 2HKOing the aforementioned Water-types. Grassy Glide is a niche option, providing Ogerpon-H with a powerful priority move alongside Rillaboom and allowing Ogerpon-H to attack faster threats like Calyrex-S and Choice Scarf Urshifu-R before they move. The HP and Defense investment ensures that Ogerpon-H survives Tera Stellar Icicle Crash from Chien-Pao and almost always lives Tera Water Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R. The Speed EVs allow Ogerpon-H to outspeed Modest Landorus, and the rest is to maximize Attack. Ogerpon-H can use a much bulkier EV spread of 220 HP / 12 Atk / 252 Def / 4 SpD / 20 Spe with an Impish nature, which allows it to avoid the 2HKO from Chien-Pao's Ice Spinner, Calyrex-I's Glacial Lance, and Iron Hands's Quark Drive-boosted Drain Punch as well as surviving +1 Tera Fire Ivy Cudgel from opposing Ogerpon-H. The Speed investment allows Ogerpon-H to outspeed neutral-natured base 80 Speed Pokemon such as Regidrago. Ogerpon-H especially struggles with Incineroar, which stomachs its attacks and weakens it with Intimidate and Parting Shot. Dragon-types like Raging Bolt and Roaring Moon are also problematic, taking its attacks and threatening massive damage with Draco Meteor and Acrobatics respectively. Landorus can also be threatening thanks to being able to threaten Ogerpon-H before and after it Terastallizes with Sludge Bomb and Earth Power respectively. The two also appreciate Ogerpon-H's support, as it can protect them from threatening Pokemon like Rillaboom and Chien-Pao with Follow Me. Miraidon makes excellent use of Ogerpon-H, as it appreciates Ogerpon-H threatening common checks like Rillaboom and Zacian-C with Ivy Cudgel and stomaching their attacks with Follow Me. Calyrex-I is another Restricted Pokemon that works well with Ogerpon-H, as it threatens Landorus and Raging Bolt with Glacial Lance. Calyrex-I has an easier time setting up Trick Room and dealing with disruptive status moves such as Amoonguss's Spore and Incineroar's Will-O-Wisp thanks to Ogerpon-H's Follow Me. Ogerpon-H also threatens foes that resist Glacial Lance like Zamazenta-C, Urshifu-R, and opposing Calyrex-I. Groudon also works particularly well with Ogerpon-H, threatening super effective damage on Incineroar and Raging Bolt with Precipice Blades, while bolstering Ogerpon-H's damage output with sun. Ogerpon-H can support Groudon by redirecting attacks from Rillaboom and Chien-Pao while also threatening Kyogre with its Grass-type STAB attacks, all of which are difficult matchups for Groudon. Powerful setup sweepers such as Calyex-S and Calm Mind Terapagos also make great use of Ogerpon-H. Ogerpon-H can help them set up by redirecting away powerful attacks such as Urshifu-S's Sucker Punch and Drain Punch from Iron Hands as well as disruptive moves like Amoonguss's Spore and Incineroar's Parting Shot. Ogerpon-H is also helpful offensively, as it can threaten otherwise problematic Pokemon like Chien-Pao and Urshifu-R with Ivy Cudgel and its Grass-type move of choice respectively.

Set Details With its immunity to Spore from Amoonguss and Brute Bonnet, Ogerpon-H is able to use Follow Me to support its allies while offensively putting pressure on common threats such as Rillaboom and Urshifu-R. Additionally, Ogerpon-H matches up well offensively into Calyrex-I and Zacian-C. Wood Hammer is the most common Grass-type STAB option on Ogerpon-H for its high and consistent damage output, notably OHKOing Urshifu-R. This EV spread allows Ogerpon to almost always take a Tera Water Surging Strikes from Urshifu-R, a +1 Glacial Lance from most Calyrex-I, or a Choice Specs Draco Meteor from Timid Miraidon under Light Screen. It is also able to OHKO Rillaboom with Ivy Cudgel, outspeed Modest Landorus-I, and pick up an OHKO on both Calyrex formes with +1 Attack Tera Fire Ivy Cudgel. Teambuilding Incineroar can be very problematic for Ogerpon-H, reducing its damage output with Intimidate and Parting Shot and resisting its STAB moves. Other Dragon- and Fire-types such as Koraidon and Chi-Yu can also threaten Ogerpon-H while resisting its STAB combination. Ogerpon-C can outspeed and threaten Ogerpon-H with an OHKO with Ivy Cudgel, while other fast threats, including Calyrex-S and Miraidon, can outspeed and threaten it with huge damage. Ogerpon-H can also struggle against powerful spread damage from Calyrex-I and Terapagos, which ignore Follow Me. Ogerpon-H pairs well with Calyrex-S and Zamazenta-C, as it can protect both from powerful attacks and notably allows Calyrex-S to set up, while Calyrex-S is able to threaten Koraidon and Zamazenta threatens Incineroar for Ogerpon-H. Miraidon also benefits greatly from redirection from Ogerpon-H as well as its ability to threaten Rillaboom with an OHKO using Ivy Cudgel, while Miraidon can threaten Incineroar and Dragon-types for Ogerpon-H. Calyrex-I also greatly appreciates redirection support, helping it to set up Trick Room and sweep, while Calyrex-I can hit the Dragon-types that can stifle Ogerpon-H's offense and allows Ogerpon-H to threaten faster foes with Trick Room. Urshifu-R is a strong partner for Ogerpon-H, as together, they form a potent offensive core. Urshifu-R appreciates redirection to safely dish out huge damage, while it can threaten Incineroar and, with Tera Water, KO Ogerpon-C and Calyrex-S for Ogerpon-H. Rillaboom is another strong partner, as Follow Me support allows for it to safely pivot with U-turn while Rillaboom's Grassy Terrain bolsters Ogerpon-H's Grass-type moves and provides priority to Ogerpon-H's Grassy Glide.

Swords Dance Ogerpon-H is the big dog of Fire teams courtesy of Hearthflame Mask increasing its damage output, its part Grass typing allowing it to fire back in the Water and Ground matchups, and Mold Breaker ignoring abilities from threatening foes such as Dondozo and Heatran. After a Swords Dance, Ivy Cudgel allows Ogerpon-H to easily break through bulky foes such as Hisuian Goodra, Clodsire, and Life Orb Landorus. Horn Leech provides the utility to regenerate health while exerting offensive pressure, letting Ogerpon-H threaten Mamoswine, Hisuian Samurott, and Urshifu-R after a boost. At +2, Play Rough improves the matchup against Dragon-types, threatening an OHKO on Garchomp and Dragonite. Ninetales and Torkoal are the most prominent partners of Ogerpon-H, as they set sun, allowing its Ivy Cudgel to OHKO foes like Life Orb Landorus and OHKO bulky foes such as Gliscor, Iron Hands, and Galarian Weezing after a Swords Dance. Ninetales provides utility by burning foes such as Urshifu-R and non-Choice Scarf Great Tusk with Will-O-Wisp, using Healing Wish to give Ogerpon-H another chance to sweep once it has been chipped down, and using Encore to allow Ogerpon-H to set up on Pokemon locked into a move such as Sableye, Pecharunt, and Toxapex. On the other hand, Torkoal provides entry hazard control through Rapid Spin, threatens Roaring Moon with Body Press while tanking its moves, and sets up Stealth Rock to chip foes such as Alolan Muk and Spectrier, allowing Ogerpon-H to sweep more easily. Cinderace is another ally that assists with hazard removal due to Court Change, which covers for Ogerpon-H's weakness to hazards. The two of them also have access to Rapid Spin, allowing them to remove hazards so that Ogerpon-H has more opportunities to switch in without getting worn down. Toedscruel can also take Fire-type attacks from Iron Moth and KO it back, while Brambleghast can switch into a predicted Flying-type move as well as revenge kill Flutter Mane with Shadow Sneak. Amoonguss is another great teammate, as its bulk and access to Spore allow it to either incapacitate or force out foes such as Dragonite. Choice Scarf Meowscarada outspeeds and removes potential threats to Ogerpon-H like Spectrier and faster Dragon-types, and it can bring Ogerpon-H in safely. Ogerpon-H's wallbreaking enables sweepers such as Hisuian Liligant and Torterra. In return, the two of them can handle foes Ogerpon-H struggles with, such as Landorus for the former and Toxapex for the latter. Rillaboom is a great revenge killer and wallbreaker to pair with Ogerpon-H, as with Grassy Glide, it can remove faster threats such as Flutter Mane and Hoopa-U. Aside from this, Rillaboom also provides Grassy Terrain to boost the power of Ogerpon-H's Grass-type moves. In return, Rillaboom appreciates Ogerpon-H removing foes Rillaboom struggles with such as Corviknight and Articuno. Breloom is another great teammate, as due to its Fighting typing and access to Mach Punch, it can easily deal with Greninja. Lastly, Abomasnow has some niche as a teammate, as it can set up Aurora Veil to make Ogerpon-H and its teammates harder to KO.

Ogerpon-H uses Wood Hammer to deal huge damage, allowing it to OHKO Diancie and both Ursaluna formes. Horn Leech can be used instead to increase its longevity at the cost of dealing a lot less damage. Ogerpon-H provides redirection, allowing its allies to set up or position safely. Ogerpon-H is particularly good at redirecting Spore from Amoonguss due to its immunity. Focus Energy can be run over Follow Me to increase Ogerpon-H's offensive prowess. Ogerpon-H is primarily used as an offensive threat, capable of OHKOing prominent offensive and support Pokemon, such as Gholdengo, Rillaboom, Amoonguss, and Sinistcha. Ogerpon-H synergizes well with Chien-Pao, since it can easily threaten Landorus and Tornadus, which Ogerpon-H is offensively threatened by due to their strong STAB move. Ogerpon-H threatens Steel-types Chien-Pao struggles against such as Gholdengo and Kingambit. Ground-types such as Landorus and Ursaluna-B greatly appreciate Ogerpon-H's ability to threaten Rillaboom, which threatens both with its potent Wood Hammer and Grassy Glide. Meanwhile, both can easily dispatch Raging Bolt, which Ogerpon-H struggles against. Dragon-type partners, such as Raging Bolt and Regidrago, appreciate Ogerpon-H KOing threats like Chien-Pao and Alolan Ninetales as well as common redirectors like Amoonguss and Sinistcha. Ogerpon-H's redirection utility additionally allows Raging Bolt to easily set up with Calm Mind. In return, Raging Bolt can easily dispatch Ogerpon-W, opposing Raging Bolt, and Roaring Moon, which threaten Ogerpon-H and are tricky for it to defeat. Meanwhile, Regidrago's Dragon Energy can remove Dragon-types that Ogerpon-H struggles to damage. Ogerpon-H supports Steel-types like Gholdengo and Kingambit exceptionally well. Ogerpon-H threatens opposing Steel-types its teammates struggle to damage as well as Ground-types that threaten them like the Ursaluna formes. In return, Gholdengo provides a strong special offensive presence to complement Ogerpon-H's physical offense, and Kingambit dissuades Intimidate cycling from Incineroar thanks to Defiant. Ogerpon-H works very well on a core of Gholdengo, Tornadus,and Regidrago, taking advantage of their offensive coverage and Tailwind support as well as providing its own offensive coverage as well as redirection.

Turboblaze is an alternative that, while notably weaker into neutral targets and more susceptible to Primordial Sea, absolutely demolishes teams planning to check Ogerpon-H with Well-Baked Body. Power Whip handles the common Regenerator Water-types like Manaphy, Swampert, and Primarina while also offering more damage into common Ground-types like Great Tusk and Ting-Lu. Solar Blade and Wood Hammer can be considered for a more accurate Grass move, but the former's terrible matchup against Primordial Sea and the latter's recoil are generally worse trade-offs. The last move is highly customizable based on what your team needs to beat. Knock Off is the most common option to annoy Pecharunt and Well-Baked Body Gholdengo while still offering progress into Fire-immune threats, while Rock Tomb is a powerful option to nail Moltres and Primordial Sea Zapdos, both of which otherwise are solid answers to Ogerpon-H; Rock Tomb can also offer a handy Speed drop on aggressive switches in by Roaring Moon. Ogerpon-H is an excellent wallbreaker that helps faster physical attackers like Roaring Moon and Zamazenta shine by cleaning up defensive staples like Great Tusk, Gholdengo, and Corviknight. These attackers can also get chip damage onto Pecharunt for Ogerpon-H. Ogerpon-H also pairs well with common special attackers like Latios and Iron Moth, as they draw in the RegenVest Water-types that it feasts on. Its single biggest limitation, however, is entry hazards; it is weak to Stealth Rock and Spikes, cannot run Heavy-Duty Boots, and generally cannot afford to run recovery, meaning it really needs reliable removal from Corviknight or Great Tusk to get multiple switches in. Depending on its last coverage move, it also does have some common answers like Moltres, Primordial Sea Zapdos, and Well-Baked Body Gholdengo. Teammates like immunity Corviknight and RegenVest Manaphy that can reliably switch into whatever Ogerpon-H cannot are strongly recommended.

With its great offensive presence and incredible ability in Mold Breaker, Ogerpon-H is one of the premier threats in Battle Stadium Singles. Ivy Cudgel: Ivy Cudgel offers a consistent STAB move with an elevated critical hit rate, allowing Ogerpon-H to power through even foes that resist Fire. Horn Leech VS. Trailblaze: Horn Leech provides a consistent Grass-type STAB move and a form of healing to assist in longevity; however, Trailblaze’s Speed boost can allow Ogerpon-H to take over games on the spot if given the chance. Play Rough VS. Rock Tomb: Play Rough is good coverage for foes such as Dragonite and the Urshifu formes, as well as Pokemon that might try to use Tera Dragon to resist Ogerpon-H’s STAB combination. Rock Tomb doesn't hit as many Dragon-types, but in exchange offers speed control and is Ogerpon-H's best attack against Fire-types like Ho-Oh and Incineroar. Encore: Ogerpon-H’s good Speed allows it to make decent use of encore to lock foes into utility moves, providing itself or its teammates turns to set up. Substitute: Substitute when paired with Swords Dance is a huge help against Dragon Tail Archaludon, though this will come at the cost of coverage. EV Spreads 252 HP / 100 Atk / 92 Def / 60 Spe with Adamant: This spread outspeeds Iron Bundle after Trailblaze while avoiding a 2HKO from Focus Sash Chien-Pao's Sucker Punch; however, it will no longer outspeed Urshifu. Tera Types The Hearthflame Mask grants Ogerpon-H a Fire Tera type. When Ogerpon-H Terastallizes, it is given a new ability, Embody Aspect, Which boosts Ogerpon-H’s attack. However, it will no longer have access to Mold Breaker.

Ogerpon-H's incredible power in Embody Aspect, unique typing, and utility-laden movepool make it the crown jewel of bulky Fire-types! Rock Tomb: Rock Tomb provides fantastic speed control and punishes common switch-ins like Dragonite and Ho-Oh. Quick Attack: Quick Attack pairs beautifully with Embody Aspect to pick off weakened foes late-game. Encore: Even without Swords Dance to set up with, Encore is still a great way to punish support moves from Pokemon that Ogerpon-H otherwise struggles with such as Archaludon and Tera Poison Garganacl. Swords Dance: Even with this set's focus on bulk, Ogerpon-H is fully capable of charging through slower teams after a boost, with common stall team members like Dondozo being particularly juicy targets thanks to Mold Breaker. Synthesis: Synthesis is Ogerpon-Hs most reliable form of recovery, sacrificing offensive utility for longevity. Other Options Taunt: Taunt is a good way to stop Stealth Rock from flying up from the likes of Ting-Lu and Archaludon, in addition to making Clear Amulet Dragonite switch ins easier to handle. Power Whip: The accuracy can be a big issue, but in addition to greater power, it won't be blocked by Psychic Noise from Primarina and Lugia like Horn Leech EV Spreads Ogerpon-H is very customizable in terms of EVs, so only take these as examples.
