Analysis

RegenVest Primal Kyogre is a useful special wall, pivot, and utility Pokemon, notably checking foes like Flutter Mane, Palkia-O, and Eternatus. Flip Turn allows Primal Kyogre to safely scout moves from opposing threats like Choice Specs Flutter Mane and then swap into the appropriate answer, be it an Imposter Pokemon or an Ice Scales user. Scald is typically preferred over Steam Eruption thanks to its higher PP, but some teams may appreciate the extra power of Steam Eruption. Knock Off cripples item-reliant Pokemon like Chansey, RegenVest Dialga, and RegenVest Celesteela along with removing Covert Cloak to let it status Pokemon it otherwise couldn't, such as Mega Audino. Mortal Spin's entry hazard removal and poison-inflicting capabilities make it a good all-around utility choice, especially since Primal Kyogre has an excellent matchup against many of the metagame's Steel-types, like Mega Steelix and Celesteela. Nuzzle can slow down wallbreakers like Eternatus and Choice Specs Flutter Mane, and Stone Axe can help wear down foes for allies. Primal Kyogre's fear of physical wallbreakers like Mega Garchomp, Ash-Greninja, and Ultra Necrozma makes reliable checks to them, like Fur Coat Mega Audino and Ice Scales Arceus-Ground, useful teammates. Special wallbreakers like Flutter Mane, Eternatus, and Miraidon appreciate Knock Off removing items from opposing RegenVest users and Ability Shields from Pokemon like Ice Scales Arceus-Ground. Imposter-proof Primal Kyogre with a Take Heart Arceus forme holding a Plate.
