Koraidon is a strong and fast physical attacker that sets up sun to increase its damage and benefit its teammates. Thanks to its high Attack, it can threaten many Pokemon in the metagame such as Rillaboom, Urshifu-S, and Terapagos. Collision Course can threaten Incineroar and is Koraidon's preferred STAB move thanks to the lack of drawbacks. Flare Blitz can OHKO Amoonguss and Rillaboom. Flame Charge is used to deal chip damage and outspeed threats such as Calyrex-S and Choice Scarf Landorus. Clear Amulet blocks stat drops that would hinder or slow down Koraidon, such as Intimidate and Parting Shot from Incineroar and Icy Wind from Flutter Mane. The EV spread allows Koraidon to survive an Ice Spinner from Chien-Pao, a Glacial Lance from Calyrex-I, and a Helping Hand-boosted Astral Barrage from Spell Tag Calyrex-S. With a Jolly nature, Koraidon can outspeed maximum Speed Ogerpon, and with an Adamant nature, Koraidon can OHKO Zamazenta-C with Flare Blitz after Terastallizing. Tera Fire allows Koraidon to OHKO Calyrex-S while also granting defensive capabilities, allow Koraidon to resist Fairy- and Ice-type moves such as Moonblast from Flutter Mane and Glacial Lance from Calyrex-I. Kyogre and Pelipper can replace Koraidon's sun with rain and threaten it with Ice Beam or Hurricane, respectively, or with Origin Pulse or Weather Ball if Koraidon has Terastallized. Flutter Mane outspeeds and threatens Koraidon via Moonblast and can also slow it down with Thunder Wave. Calyrex-I can Terastallize into a Fire-type to resist Flare Blitz or into a Fairy-type to resist Collision Course and remove its Fire weakness. Calyrex-I can also threaten Koraidon via Glacial Lance or, if Koraidon has Terastallized, High Horsepower. Flutter Mane is a solid partner for Koraidon, as Koraidon can boost its Speed under the sun, and Flutter Mane can help Koraidon outspeed foes with Icy Wind or Thunder Wave as well as reset sun with Sunny Day in the face of Kyogre and Pelipper. Raging Bolt resists both of Kyogre's and Pelipper's Water- and Flying-type moves while threatening them with its Electric-Type STAB attacks like Thunderbolt and Thunderclap. Ogerpon-C provides redirection and strong Rock- and Grass-type coverage that can pressure Calyrex-I and OHKO Kyogre and Pelipper. Entei can be used as a secondary single-target nuke that can OHKO Flutter Mane and threaten Calyrex-I with burns from Sacred Fire. Chi-Yu can support Koraidon with Snarl to devastate Calyrex-S or Taunt to deter status conditions such as Will-O-Wisp from Incineroar and Spore from Amoonguss while also launching powerful Heat Waves under sun. Ditto has a great matchup against the Calyrex formes, as it copies their potential stat boosts, reverses Trick Room in the face of Calyrex-I, and threatens Calyrex-S with an OHKO.

Set Details Koraidon deals devastating physical damage in a metagame with few Fighting- and Fire-resistant Pokemon. Koraidon excels when it outspeeds and KOes its foes before they can attack. Koraidon has great matchups against Zamazenta-C, Terapagos, and Incineroar. Flame Charge is used to deal chip damage and increase Koraidon's Speed, allowing it to outrun Calyrex-S. Close Combat is the preferred Fighting-type STAB attack on Life Orb variants to maximize the damage Koraidon deals in exchange for increasing the damage it receives. Collision Course is used more commonly on Clear Amulet and Ability Shield variants; it has no drawbacks but deals less damage than Close Combat unless it is super effective. Close Combat is able to achieve an OHKO on Urshifu-R, while Collision Course only has a low chance to do so. Life Orb maximizes Koraidon's damage, allowing it to OHKO uninvested Miraidon with Close Combat as well as Incineroar after Intimidate. Clear Amulet prevents Koraidon from having its Attack stat lowered further by Intimidate cycling from Incineroar and prevents Speed drops by Icy Wind from Flutter Mane. Ability Shield is used exclusively on teams where Koraidon is paired with Galarian Weezing, allowing Koraidon to maintain its damage boost from Orichalcum Pulse and set up sun. The Attack investment and an Adamant nature allow Koraidon to OHKO Calyrex-S with Flare Blitz. The defensive investment lets Koraidon survive Brave Bird from Ho-Oh after Koraidon Terastallizes and Astral Barrage from Life Orb Calyrex-S. The Speed investment enables it to outrun Ogerpon-C. Alternatively an EV spread of 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe with a Jolly nature can be used to maximize damage and Speed to outrun non-maximum Speed Miraidon. Tera Fire grants Koraidon a resistance to Fairy- and Ice-type attacks such as Dazzling Gleam from Miraidon and Glacial Lance from Calyrex-I as well as enhancing the damage dealt by its Fire-type attacks, allowing Koraidon to OHKO +1 Zamazenta-C with Flare Blitz and Calyrex-I with Flame Charge. Tera Fire additionally provides Koraidon with an immunity to burns. Teambuilding Koraidon struggles to sufficiently damage Lunala with Shadow Shield intact. Depending on its set, Lunala can easily threaten Koraidon with Moonblast or Meteor Beam after Koraidon has Terastallized. Flutter Mane threatens Koraidon with Moonblast, and it can slow down non-Clear Amulet sets with Icy Wind. Miraidon threatens to OHKO it with Dazzling Gleam and Draco Meteor. When Koraidon has Terastallized, Miraidon can deal devastating damage with Electro Drift and Volt Switch. Koraidon pairs well with Ghost-types such as Lunala and Calyrex-S to threaten opposing Lunala and Flutter Mane with Astral Barrage and Moongeist Beam, respectively. Flutter Mane threatens Miraidon with Moonblast and handles Lunala and opposing Flutter Mane with Shadow Ball, as well as providing speed control with Icy Wind to allow Koraidon to attack before its foes can. Brute Bonnet provides redirection with Rage Powder and can disrupt foes with Spore. Brute Bonnet additionally threatens Ghost-types and Calyrex-I with Sucker Punch. Iron Head Koraidon, coupled with Substitute and Tera Steel, serves as an incredibly strong setup sweeper that uses its invaluable Fairy resistance to turn its checks into setup fodder. It is able to bait its checks, including Arceus-Fairy, Arceus-Water, and Alomomola, to switch into it. With Substitute, Koraidon is able to set up without fear of being statused by defensive Arceus formes, Skeledirge, and Gliscor or being revenge killed by a Ditto; once set up, it can rip through many team archetypes. Iron Head is able to super effectively target Fairy-types like Arceus-Fairy and Tera Fairy users like Arceus-Water, Ho-Oh, and Skeledirge; Koraidon can OHKO all of them with Tera Steel at +2, though it is a roll for Skeledirge. Iron Head also does not cause recoil damage like Flare Blitz would, allowing Koraidon to set up Substitute more frequently. Scale Shot is the perfect partner to Iron Head, providing Koraidon with a high-Base Power STAB move that, at +2, has a chance to OHKO most physically defensive Pokemon, including Ho-Oh, Alomomola, and Arceus-Water. It also allows Koraidon to outspeed Zacian-C, non-Choice Scarf Calyrex-S, Miraidon, and maximum Speed Arceus formes. With this move combination, Koraidon is able to hit nearly the entire metagame for neutral damage, except Necrozma-DM and Tera Steel users such as Ting-Lu and Giratina-O. To combat this, Substitute can alternatively be replaced for Low Kick, making it easier to take down Steel-types at the expense of leaving Koraidon more vulnerable to status moves. The Speed investment allows Koraidon to naturally outspeed maximum Speed neutral-natured Arceus formes. After it has Terastallized, the HP EVs notably provide it with enough bulk to prevent its Substitute from being broken in one hit by Judgment from uninvested Arceus-Fairy and Arceus-Water while sun is up, as well as Dynamax Cannon from Eternatus. This also leaves Koraidon more resilient to an Arceus's Extreme Speed, making it much harder for Koraidon to be revenge killed. Koraidon is able to fit on both hyper offense and bulky offense teams. Because Tera Steel and Substitute work to bait and nullify checks such as Arceus-Fairy and Arceus-Water, Koraidon is a great teammate for Pokemon that would otherwise struggle with defensive Arceus formes, such as Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground, Zacian-C, and Arceus. Using Swords Dance Koraidon often means forgoing the usual Choice Scarf Koraidon sets, so Choice Scarf users such as Calyrex-S, Ditto, Kyogre, and Landorus-T are excellent teammates on bulky offense and balance teams, as they let the team maintain a level of speed control and deal with faster threats like Zacian-C. Because Iron Head Koraidon struggles with Steel-types like Necrozma-DM and Tera Steel users like Ting-Lu and Giratina-O, having a Ground-type like Arceus-Ground or a Fire-type like Ho-Oh is good to help Koraidon where it falls short. Due to Koraidon being naturally outsped by Calyrex-S, Arceus is another great teammate, as it is able to switch into Calyrex-S’s attacks and threaten it out with Shadow Claw. Special attackers such as Miraidon, Calyrex-S, and Kyogre are able to break through physical walls, such as Dondozo, that Koraidon would be unable to take out.

Scale Shot Koraidon is an incredibly potent setup sweeper, leveraging its great Attack, great ability, and high Speed to punch holes through many bulky offense and balance teams alike. Scale Shot targets Dragon-types, such as Eternatus, Miraidon, and Giratina-O, while also increasing Koraidon's Speed. This boost allows it to outspeed non-Choice Scarf Calyrex-S and Speed tie with Jolly Choice Scarf Koraidon. However, the accompanying Defense drop makes it more vulnerable to Arceus's Extreme Speed. Scale Shot can also 2HKO Skeledirge and OHKO Ho-Oh after a boost, allowing Koraidon to break through teams that are reliant on them to check it. Flare Blitz gives Koraidon a way to hit Arceus-Fairy, OHKOing it at +2 after some chip damage and forcing Arceus-Fairy to stay healthy; this move also gives Koraidon an accurate way of hitting and OHKOing Calyrex-S. Low Kick OHKOes Arceus and deals significant damage to Arceus-Water, Arceus-Ground, and Ting-Lu. Close Combat is an alternative to Low Kick, giving Koraidon a good way of hitting Alomomola, although it causes a Defense drop in exchange. Swords Dance allows Koraidon to threaten defensive Arceus formes, threaten defensive Ho-Oh, and break through many teams. Tera Ghost gives Koraidon an immunity to Arceus's Extreme Speed and opposing Koraidon's Low Kick, helping it avoid being revenge killed. Koraidon is a staple on hyper offense teams, where Scale Shot forces Arceus-Fairy to stay very healthy or allow Koraidon a Speed boost, which it can use to easily snowball into a sweep. Thus, due to Koraidon's ability to easily chip defensive Arceus formes, Zacian-C finds its way onto the majority of teams using Scale Shot Koraidon. One of Zacian-C's biggest defensive checks, Arceus-Water, takes a great deal of damage when attempting to stop +2 Koraidon, allowing Zacian-C to revenge kill Arceus-Water with Wild Charge. Koraidon also assists Arceus-Ground in breaking defensive Arceus formes, which can otherwise chip Arceus-Ground with Judgment or threaten to use Will-O-Wisp until they are Taunted. Though Koraidon can assist in breaking defensive Arceus formes, on its own, it still struggles to get past them without prior chip damage. Therefore, Deoxys-S's entry hazards greatly assist Koraidon, as +2 Low Kick OHKOes Arceus-Water, and +2 Flare Blitz OHKOes Arceus-Fairy after some hazard damage. Choice Scarf Calyrex-S can outspeed even +1 Koraidon and threaten to OHKO it with Psychic or Astral Barrage after some chip damage, so Arceus, with an immunity to Astral Barrage and great natural bulk, is a stellar teammate for Koraidon. Furthermore, taking advantage of Calyrex-S being locked into Astral Barrage or Psychic, Arceus can force Calyrex-S to switch out with the threat of Shadow Claw and set up with Swords Dance. Though quite niche, Scale Shot Koraidon can also be used on balance and bulky offense structures using Choice Scarf Calyrex-S, leveraging surprise factor to quickly overwhelm unsuspecting defensive Arceus formes.

Choice Band Koraidon is a wallbreaker of utterly unparalleled strength, easily 2HKOing or OHKOing the entirety of the metagame. Close Combat is chosen over Low Kick for its ability to 2HKO offensive Ho-Oh and the uncommon Alomomola. Outrage backs up the incredible coverage of Close Combat and Flare Blitz by 2HKOing Ho-Oh, Skeledirge, and defensive Arceus-Water, alleviating prediction. Dragon Claw is an alternative Dragon-type STAB move that retains the ability to 2HKO defensive Ho-Oh and Skeledirge without locking Koraidon in like Outrage. Wild Charge is chosen over U-turn in order to do massive damage to Ho-Oh without needing to lock into Outrage, even OHKOing offensive variants. Koraidon typically doesn't get as much value out of U-turn pivoting as its turns on the field are often better spent throwing out its devastatingly powerful attacks. Tera Fire amps up the power of Flare Blitz to truly ludicrous levels, able to 2HKO defensive Ho-Oh and Skeledirge, OHKO Gliscor, and—after a layer of Spikes or Stealth Rock damage—OHKO defensive Arceus-Fairy and 2HKO Arceus-Water. Alternatively, Tera Fighting boosts the power of Close Combat, outright 2HKOing Ho-Oh and damaged Arceus-Fairy without the hefty recoil that accompanies Flare Blitz. A Jolly nature is important for Koraidon to outspeed and OHKO offensive Arceus-Fairy. A wide assortment of Pokemon appreciate Choice Band Koraidon's unmatched ability to shred open walls. Physically offensive teammates like Arceus and Zacian-C in particular appreciate Koraidon tearing through or outright KOing physically defensive walls such as Arceus-Water, Ho-Oh, and Arceus-Fairy, which are often tasked with answering a wide variety of attackers. Special attacking teammates like Calyrex-S and Miraidon also make for potent partners that can take advantage of the physical walls that can make it difficult for Koraidon to find a chance to leverage its obscene wallbreaking potential. They also directly facilitate Koraidon by luring in special walls such as Ting-Lu, creating opportunities for Koraidon to launch its powerful attacks—Miraidon in particular does this well courtesy of its access to U-turn. Koraidon can struggle with faster Pokemon that threaten to OHKO it, such as Calyrex-S, Zacian-C, and opposing Choice Scarf Koraidon, necessitating a defensive backbone with teammates such as Ting-Lu, defensive Arceus-Fairy, and Landorus-T for it to fall back on. Defensive Ho-Oh is especially notable as a partner that can answer almost all of the threats to Koraidon. Koraidon also needs fast partners to make up for its lacking Speed, making Choice Scarf users like Calyrex-S, another Koraidon, and more niche options like Kyogre and Landorus-T good teammates.

Choice Scarf Koraidon is one of the premier speed control options and revenge killers in the metagame. Flare Blitz, when boosted by Orichalcum Pulse's sun, provides excellent neutral coverage against Steel-, Fairy-, and Ghost-types such as Necrozma-DM, Arceus-Fairy, and Calyrex-S. Low Kick, with its 120 Base Power against most of the metagame, avoids the stat drops of Close Combat and OHKOes Arceus and Ting-Lu after one layer of Spikes while reliably damaging Arceus-Ground and Arceus-Water. Outrage is generally preferred over Dragon Claw due to its ability to 2HKO Ho-Oh and OHKO Calyrex-S and Eternatus. However, it makes Koraidon vulnerable to revenge killing attempts by Fairy-types such as Arceus-Fairy, Zacian-C, and Tera Fairy Ho-Oh. U-turn provides essential pivoting capabilities and allows Koraidon to finish off weakened foes without the concern of them Terastallizing into a type that's immune to one of its STAB moves. An Adamant nature enables Koraidon to 2HKO bulky Arceus formes after one layer of Spikes or Stealth Rock and secure a guaranteed OHKO on Calyrex-S. A Jolly nature can be used to outspeed +1 Jolly Dragon Dance Necrozma-DM after Sticky Web, outspeed +1 Jolly Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground, and Speed tie with opposing Choice Scarf Miraidon and Koraidon. Tera Fire allows Flare Blitz to OHKO Necrozma-DM and 2HKO Arceus-Fairy and Arceus-Ground; it also grants Koraidon burn immunity while making it neutral to Psychic-type moves from Calyrex-S and Necrozma-DM. However, Tera Fire flips Koraidon's resistance to Stealth Rock into a weakness, severely limiting its ability to switch in repeatedly. Tera Ghost provides Koraidon with immunities to Fighting- and Normal-type moves, allowing it to turn the tables against opposing Koraidon and Extreme Killer Arceus. Additionally, it allows Koraidon to take neutral damage from Psychic- and Dragon-type attacks from Necrozma-DM, Calyrex-S, and Eternatus. The primary downside of Tera Ghost is its weakness to Calyrex-S's Astral Barrage. Choice Scarf Koraidon is an incredibly powerful asset to balance and bulky offense teams thanks to its game-defining pivoting and wallbreaking abilities. However, Koraidon struggles against bulky Arceus formes like Arceus-Fairy and Arceus-Water, as the former resists Low Kick, and the latter resists Flare Blitz. Defensive Ho-Oh also poses a challenge for Koraidon to break through. As a result, Kyogre and Ho-Oh make excellent teammates, applying pressure on opposing Ho-Oh and bulky Arceus formes. In return, they greatly benefit from Koraidon's pivoting allowing them to enter the battlefield safely. Koraidon also pairs well with Calyrex-S, whose unmatched Special Attack and Speed stats can dismantle Koraidon's aforementioned checks. Physical attackers in Dragon Dance Arceus-Ground and Necrozma-DM are also invaluable teammates, as they can dispose of Ho-Oh with Stone Edge while continually pressuring bulky Arceus formes. Miraidon is another outstanding partner that complements Koraidon perfectly, as both can safely bring in the other, with Koraidon forcing out Ting-Lu and Miraidon pressuring Ho-Oh. Lastly, Koraidon benefits from being paired with entry hazard setters such as Ting-Lu, Landorus-T, and Eternatus, which not only provide critical support with Spikes, Stealth Rock, and Toxic Spikes but also check significant threats such as Calyrex-S, opposing Koraidon, and Kyogre, respectively.

Koraidon makes for a terrifying bulky attacker, capitalizing on its versatile movepool to adapt to a variety of threats! Drain Punch: Drain Punch's recovery pairs nicely with Koraidon's bulk and makes it harder to revenge kill. Flame Charge and Flare Blitz: Flame Charge is Koraidon's most consistent attack option for raising Speed, and after one use, Koraidon will outrun unboosted targets like Miraidon and Calyrex-S. Flare Blitz’s higher power makes it much easier to break through bulky checks, though the recoil can impact Koraidon's longevity. If Koraidon is using Tera Fire, it is not uncommon to run both simultaneously. U-turn: U-turn is a great way to bring in sun teammates like Flutter Mane and Chi-Yu against Koraidon's checks. Tera Blast: When utilized with Tera Electric, Tera Blast can pressure some of Koraidon's most troublesome defensive checks in Dondozo and Primarina. Dragon Claw versus Outrage: Dragon Claw gives Koraidon a flexible Dragon-type STAB with decent power. Outrage's raw damage is better for breaking through defenses, but the move lock can put Koraidon in danger of getting set up on or revenge killed. EV Spread: The Special Defense investment allows Koraidon to withstand two unboosted Astral Barrages from Timid Calyrex-S. The Speed investment lets it outspeed targets up to a base Speed of 100, most notably Chi-Yu. Other Options Scale Shot: Scale Shot can be used as an alternative to Flame Charge as a Speed-boosting move, allowing Koraidon to have a Dragon-type move without sacrificing coverage elsewhere. The Defense drops can be concerning for Koraidon's longevity, however. Tera Types Tera Dependency - High: Terastallization is an integral part of this set's strategy, as even with Assault Vest Koraidon has to shed its Dragon- and Fairy-type weaknesses to withstand threats like Miraidon and Flutter Mane. Fire: Tera Fire gives more reliable attack power to Flame Charge and amps the already dangerous strength of Flare Blitz to incredible levels. It also flips Koraidon's troublesome x4 Fairy-type weakness to a resistance and makes burns a non-issue, potentially tripping up targets like Will-O-Wisp Calyrex-S. Electric: Tera Electric grants a well-rounded defensive typing that is particularly favorable for the Miraidon matchup, and the paralysis immunity gives extra security against Flutter Mane's Thunder Wave sets. Tera Electric also widens offensive coverage when paired with Tera Blast.

With Swords Dance, Koraidon's already volcanic power crushes almost everything in its path. Only physically defensive Unaware Pokemon like Dondozo and Skeledirge, Tera Fairy Pokemon with Flash Fire like Ceruledge and Heatran, and the rare Dachsbun have any hope of walling it! Collision Course versus Drain Punch: Collision Course's lack of drawbacks makes it an easy choice over Close Combat, especially since Koraidon is rather bulky even without investment; after Swords Dance, it still deals over 50% to Hippowdon even without Orichalcum Pulse kicking in. Drain Punch trades a lot of that power against Hippowdon in particular in exchange for healing, which suits Koraidon's reasonable bulk. Flare Blitz versus Flame Charge: Flare Blitz offers brutal power beyond imagination, usually making it the prime choice. However, boosted Flame Charge with Tera Fire still does good damage and can be paired with Outrage to muscle through certain targets such as Ho-Oh and Toxapex more easily Scale Shot with Loaded Dice versus Flame Charge: Koraidon will want a way to boost its Speed to keep revenge killers like Calyrex-S and Choice Scarf Landorus-T at bay. Scale Shot works well as both a multi-hit move to shred common Focus Sash users like Chien-Pao and Calyrex-S after a boost. Flame Charge trades ripping through Focus Sash and power for reliability, hitting Fairy-types, and making Koraidon less vulnerable to priority from foes like Choice Band Dragonite. Other Options Outrage: Outrage offers vicious power on the level of Flare Blitz, making it a decent alternative when using Flame Charge to deal heavier damage to defensive foes like Dondozo and Ho-Oh. However, it leaves Koraidon very vulnerable to being revenge killed by Fairy-types such as Flutter Mane, Zacian-C, and Tera Fairy Calyrex-S. Items Loaded Dice: If using Scale Shot, Loaded Dice is a must for more consistently pummeling foes after a boost. The minimum of 4 hits from Scale Shot notably gives Koraidon a high chance of OHKOing Focus Sash Chien-Pao without a boost, a rare feat for a multi-hit attack. Lum Berry: Lum Berry is a fantastic option against Yawn users like Hippowdon and Ursaluna-B, and it also stops Flutter Mane from sneaking a Thunder Wave in. Clear Amulet: Clear Amulet ensures that debuff tactics such as Intimidate and Rock Tomb will bounce off Koraidon like pebbles, as well as stopping Charm from Flutter Mane. Life Orb: Life Orb boosts Koraidon's power to extinction levels, with Tera Fire Flare Blitz even having around a 50% shot of OHKOing Toxapex after Swords Dance! Tera Types Tera Dependency - Medium: Terastallization is a great way to keep common revenge killers like Flutter Mane and Ice Shard Chien-Pao from stopping Koraidon cold. Just note that the Fire weakness is especially problematic due to Koraidon setting up sun.

Flare Blitz: Thanks to the sun set by Orichalcum Pulse, Flare Blitz is arguably Koraidon’s most spammable attack, easily cutting through the Steel- and Fairy-types that would try to switch into its Dragon-type STAB moves. Outrage: While it is a risky move to lock into, Outrage’s sheer power makes it Koraidon’s preferred Dragon-type STAB attack. U-turn and Teammates: Thanks to the sun it sets with Orichalcum Pulse, Koraidon facilitates sun teams beautifully. Teammates like Flutter Mane and Ogerpon-H benefit greatly from Koraidon’s sun and can easily be brought in via U-turn. Other Options Flame Charge: While giving up one of Koraidon’s other moves can be a big sacrifice, Flame Charge gives Choice Band sets an option to clean up weakened teams thanks to its Speed boost making Koraidon significantly harder to revenge kill. However, it is very reliant on the power boost gained from Tera Fire to be consistent at all. Items Choice Scarf: Thanks to its high natural power and great Speed tier, Koraidon is an excellent Choice Scarf user, easily capable of stopping attempted sweeps from foes like boosted Kyurem-B, Zacian-C, and Calyrex-S. Choice Band: Choice Band elevates Koraidon’s power to nearly unfathomable levels, allowing it to perform feats such as OHKOing Fire-resistant foes like Urshifu-R with Tera-boosted Flare Blitz in sun. Tera Types Tera Dependency - Low: While Koraidon makes excellent use of Terastallization, it is far from necessary for it to succeed. Fire: Tera Fire grants Koraidon a crucial Fairy resistance and STAB on Flare Blitz, allowing it to more easily clean up late-game. Fighting: Tera Fighting boosts Collision Course’s power even further, making it easier to spam while also ridding Koraidon of most of the weaknesses that come from its Dragon typing.

With a potent mix of power and disruption, this Koraidon is adapted to taking on one of its biggest checks in Dondozo while still retaining its dominating offensive prowess. Scale Shot with Loaded Dice: Scale Shot with Loaded Dice provides consistently high damage while letting Koraidon avoid Rocky Helmet's contact damage. While the Defense drops can be problematic in some matchups, Dondozo doesn't benefit because its Unaware ability ignores them! Iron Head: Iron Head provides excellent synergy with Scale Shot, punishing Fairy-types and Tera Fairy users trying to stop Koraidon's Scale Shot momentum. Taunt: Taunt stops options like Yawn and Rest from Dondozo, and is generally disruptive to many other targets thanks to Koraidon's Speed. Though incredibly versatile, Taunt does leave Koraidon open to Dondozo's Fissure spam. Substitute: Substitute provides insurance against Dondozo's Fissure while still stopping status moves like Yawn. With Koraidon's great Speed, Substitute also works great for scouting Terastallization. Finally, Substitute can make it harder for Pokemon like Extreme Speed Dragonite and Sucker Punch Chien-Pao to revenge kill a weakened Koraidon. Collision Course: Collision Course deals massive damage to bulky targets like Ting-Lu and Ursaluna-B, which otherwise have an easier time keeping up with this set. It's also a way to hit common Steel-types, though usually these targets will be reluctant to engage Koraidon until it's been scouted for Fire-type moves. Swords Dance: This may seem like an odd inclusion given the set's focus on Unaware Dondozo, but Koraidon's ability to jumpstart an unstoppable sweep is still viable as ever. Tera Dependency - Medium / High: The need for Tera Steel largely comes down to making Koraidon more consistent defensively, though it may not be necessary in some instances, such as the case where Dondozo is using Wave Crash over Avalanche. Regardless, the boost to Iron Head makes Koraidon's offensive profile even more threatening, and the resistance to STAB attacks from common Fairy-types like Flutter Mane and Primarina is always great to have. Alternative EV Spread 188 HP / 212 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 100 Spe with Adamant: This spread is specialized for Substitute use against Dondozo, making it so that Koraidon's Substitute will almost never be OHKOed by unboosted Avalanche as well as always surviving unboosted Body Press and Earthquake, all assuming no Terastallization. The Speed investment makes it so that Koraidon outspeeds up to Timid Chi-Yu.
