Iron Bundle finds itself a niche in the meta as an exceptionally fast supportive Pokemon, outspeeding Booster Energy Flutter Mane with Quark Drive while providing speed control and disruptive options. Icy Wind provides a consistent form of speed control, taking full advantage of Iron Bundle's role as one of the fastest Pokemon in the game. Encore threatens to punish Fake Out users as well as any setup attempts from the likes of Calyrex-S and Terapagos. Focus Sash is used to make up for Iron Bundle's lack of bulk, allowing it to survive an attack. Tera Ghost enables Iron Bundle to ignore Fake Out, preserving Focus Sash and allowing it to support the team unhindered. Priority attackers like Rillaboom and Raging Bolt can threaten to KO Iron Bundle before it can move. Bulky Pokemon like Iron Hands don't care about Speed drops from Icy Wind, wall Iron Bundle's STAB moves, and are capable of OHKOing it, while Pokemon holding Clear Amulet or Covert Cloak like Koraidon and the Calyrex formes are unaffected by Iron Bundle's speed control. Miraidon compliments Iron Bundle exceptionally well by providing Electric Terrain to activate Quark Drive as well as threatening Koraidon and the Calyrex formes with Draco Meteor and Electro Drift, respectively. Icy Wind is used for speed control, Hydro Pump is used as the main Water-STAB move, and Freeze-Dry is preferred to threaten common Water-types like Urshifu-R and Ogerpon-W. Booster Energy is used to raise its Speed, which allows it to outspeed threats like Choice Scarf Urshifu-R, Booster Energy Flutter Mane, and Regidrago and Modest Landorus under Tailwind. Tera Ghost is used for an immunity to threatening priority moves like Fake Out and Extreme Speed.

Hydro Pump is by far Iron Bundle's strongest STAB move. Tera Water can further amplify its power. STAB Freeze-Dry allows Iron Bundle to hit Water-types hard. It is effective against rain teams, being able to OHKO Pelipper, OHKO Barraskewda, and hit Palafin hard. Icy Wind benefits Iron Bundle's slower allies. It functions well against fast Focus Sash Pokemon such as Chien-Pao and Meowscarada, both dealing damage to nullify the Focus Sash and lowering their Speed, which allows Iron Bundle's ally to KO the foe. Protect is used to predict and avoid attacks that threaten to KO Iron Bundle, extending its longevity. It can also help Iron Bundle stall out Trick Room and Tailwind turns. Tera Water increases the power of Hydro Pump and gives Iron Bundle a better defensive typing against Fire- and Steel-type Pokemon such as Chi-Yu and Gholdengo. Tera Ghost avoids Fake Out and Extreme Speed, letting Bundle act more freely. Both Tera types also reduce the damage taken from Stealth Rock. Booster Energy activates Iron Bundle's Quark Drive, making it among the very fastest Pokemon in Doubles OU. Boosted Iron Bundle outspeeds Gholdengo and Great Tusk in Tailwind, Choice Scarf Chi-Yu, and Weak Armor-boosted Armarouge. It also Speed ties Chlorophyll Lilligant in sun. It's especially effective at punishing Sucker Punch revenge killers such as Chien-Pao and Urshifu-S. Ice Beam: With a power-boosting item, Ice Beam OHKOes Dragonite through Multiscale, and is a far safer way to OHKO Ursaluna-B that lack Assault Vest. Flip Turn: Pivoting is a big help when Iron Bundle is facing Pokemon likely to Terastallize such as Chi-Yu or Landorus-T, though it doesn't have great synergy with Booster Energy's one-time use. Other Options Taunt: Taunt will make support Pokemon such as Alolan Ninetales and Ting-Lu want to take a holiday, though watch out for common users of Mental Herb such as Toxapex. Whirlpool: Although difficult to pull off with Iron Bundle's mediocre bulk, trapping foes with Whirlpool can make Encore especially deadly. Electric Terrain: Giving Iron Bundle a Speed boost via Electric Terrain isn't nearly as flexible as Booster Energy, but it does let Iron Bundle support potentially deadly Quark Drive teammates such as Iron Valiant and Iron Hands. Tera Types Tera Dependency - Low: Iron Bundle's perfect coverage and high Speed means its fairly flexible with a team's Terastallization needs. Water: Besides the power boost for Hydro Pump, Tera Water enables a reliable Water-type STAB move in Tera Blast and avoids an OHKO from Choice Scarf Urshifu-R's Close Combat. Ghost: Tera Ghost gives Iron Bundle an important immunity to Extreme Speed and Quick Attack, which can especially ruin Dragonite, Ogerpon-H's, and Entei's holiday with Encore. Ice: With Tera Ice, Freeze-Dry will OHKO offensive Dragonite through Multiscale and Ice Beam will OHKO even bulky Dragonite and most Assault Vest Ursaluna-B. Items Booster Energy: Quark Drive's Speed boost lets Iron Bundle outpace key Choice Scarf and Booster threats such as Flutter Mane, Urshifu-R, and Landorus-T. Choice Specs: Choice Specs Iron Bundle regifts support moves so it can wallbreak, with moves such as Tera Water Hydro Pump now OHKOing physically defensive Ting-Lu. Focus Sash: Getting around Iron Bundle's iffy bulk makes it a fantastic lead and revenge killer. Life Orb: While Life Orb compromises Iron Bundle's ability to take priority attacks, it boosts damage without passing on powerful support moves. Bulkier EV Spreads 44 HP / 12 Def / 148 SpA / 52 SpD / 252 Spe with Timid: This bulkier spread survives Jolly Chien-Pao's Sacred Sword and Timid Flutter Mane's Moonblast.
